Linux Projects
Reflection

Cybersecurity consists of various roles that deal with different software tools, technologies, and techniques the user needs to be knowledgeable in. In this case, Linux is a necessity for any cyber professional to understand. Job roles such as network or systems administrators, cyber security engineers, and junior cyber security analysts need a great understanding on the techniques used in the linux system.

Each assignment focuses on different techniques that can be used in Kali Linux or Ubuntu through VMWare, VirtualBox, or AWS- Amazon Web Services.

Nowadays, many employers seek individuals that have  experience with Linux and Windows environments. Linux is something I’m familiar with from previous courses and I’m able to navigate through its interface just like the Windows Systems.

This course is a great introduction to the Linux environment because you'll need the knowledge to build on in future courses.

The sample assignments presented represent setting up a virtual environment, utilizing shell features, password cracking, and more.

Overall, the cybersecurity and information technology courses are the backbone for a majority of the skills needed along with additional education.
