CYBER WAR

This course explores the national security dimensions of cybersecurity and examines cyber war in international relations. Exploration of cyber war begins with an examination of cybersecurity as a component of national security and investigates the topics of U.S National Cybersecurity and other national approaches to cyber war. The topics of cyber deterrence, cyber as a military domain, the roles of international organizations in cyber war, cyber terrorism, the role of social media, and information warfare will be discussed along with the international dimension of cybersecurity. 

Discussion Topics

In today's modern society, cyberspace is considered to be a realm with immense power.  Cyber warfare is a concept that utilizes cyber capabilities and techniques that comparable to weapons of mass destruction. These discussion board topics discuss various viewpoints from other nations, opinions on the United States' current cyber strategy, and reasons why there's no international agreement on governance around cyberspace. In the end, cybersecurity is needed more than ever. 

Research Paper

This research paper discusses how we can create a safer cyber world. As technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace, cyber criminals are on the rise to take victims private information, gain unauthorized access, and damage the network. Safeguard measures can create a safer cyber war from local, state, and at a national level. A safer cyber world is out there, it's just a matter of how we might implement it.
